How do Border Collies adapt to new homes?

That's great that you're looking into a Border Collie. Please contact the herding club of Central Florida and purchase a dog that is already started on sheep. Owning a Border Collie is quite expensive. Your dog will need to stay with a sheepdog trainer for 3-4 months, an average of $500.00 a month, for in house training. After that, you'll need to take 2-3 lessons a week, at an average of $50.00 an hour. Much less expensive to purchase a dog that's already been started, rather than a pup. My Canadian National champion trainer has a very nice young dog, she's almost a year old, for sale, and he wants $1500.00 for her.
