Infraction for driving on the wrong side of road?

I was dropping off my nephew at school I can either drop him off at the drop off area or park and walk him to the school. I was going to park so I was making a left turn I ended up behind the other cars that were going to turn right to go to the drop off area. I signaled left and moved around them to drive down the road to park. I ended up for a brief second in the middle of the road as I maneuvered around the cars and I was pulled over with an infraction to appear in court. I have a clean record this was the first time I've been pulled over. What happens now? I do I pay a fine and do traffic school??or should I even bother contesting it?
