Is it meant to be or have i been played?

i started seein a guy at work as we got along really well, very similar people. we had 2 keep it secret as we didnt want people at work knowing. he told me he loved me after a week, which really scared me but i felt the need 2 say it back n convinced myself 2 love him. we never went on a date, we met up in a park as he was always working and put him under alot of pressure. then he started 2 change 2wards me n said it was the pressure at work that was changing him. i believd him and was understanding about this. things got worse. i asked him to be honest, if he was using me, he went crazy and denied it, still is. he said he was trying to make time for me but couldnt because of work and that his actions may have said he didnt want to be wiv me, but he never actually 'said' he didnt. i finished it and he said it hurt him, did it?? he said he is not a player hes not like that and still sees me with love and respect.....i dont know what to believe.....have i been played?
