How do you avoid getting in car accidents?

ok so on monday i turned 16 and got my drivers license. so far ive been in 2 accidents (one wasn't my fault though - the guy stopped suddenly right in front of me at a stop sign while i was writing a text), well its kind of 3 accidents because there was one other but it didnt look like much damage so i just drove off... and another time i pulled out in front of a car and it swerved to avoid hitting me and ended up hitting another car but since i wasnt actually in the accident i decided it was best to just keep going and let everyone live their lives. ok, so im not the best driver, lol, but now my dad is saying that he is not buying any more new cars after this one, or paying for repairs, which means that if i get into another accident then ill be stuck driving the stupid minivan! (aghh!!) im pretty sure he would actually buy a new car if it came to that but i just want to make sure, how can i not get into any more accidents? lol and no stupid answers like stop texting cause well thats not happening lol
