My MW2 wont let me play multiplayer?

when i am on the main menu screen on MW2 i can play spec ops and the single player but when i hit multiplayer it send me to the dashboard and says the disc is unreadable and i cleaned it 1000 times and nothing is working...is there any other way of cleaning it or its my disc just ****** up?
